I was bored while waiting the 4 hours for our flight to Chicago and then to Vegas (See picture of my shoes below)... We finally landed in Vegas around 6 something in the morning. And of course we had the horrifying experience of having our luggage being "lost" and picked up our bags around 8 or so in the morning after a few hours of much needed rest. Luckily Pops stayed in the Condo while waiting for us which allowed us to crash for a bit before trekking back to Utah.

Pictures of our vacation
So we're back from our week long trip to Utah. It wasn't quite what we planned but just as nice. We were glad to be there for the Grands and were blessed to spend time with Jon's siblings and their spouses and Jax. Drew even enjoyed himself while we stayed with Jon's family. It was really nice to see the familiar red rocks and take advantage of some of the things Utah had to offer that we don't quite get back at home. I think that we all really miss being closer to family and are praying for direction as to whether we should earnestly look into moving out west and when. All and all it was a very pleasant trip but we're all tired and were ready to be back into our own beds. Poor Dixie cried and told us all about her woes of being away from us. We spoiled her to death with lots of loves and treats!
The beautiful Salt Lake Temple... We were excited to have a chance to walk around Temple Square.
Jon in front of the Christus Statue.
Jon and I for our close-up. It was sort of awkward since it was quiet and we were the only ones snapping pictures. Right after, we had the sister missionaries take us through a "Plan of Happiness" tour which was really spiritual. Sister Lee (from Korea) and Sister Conneticut (I can't remember her last name but she was from Manchester, CT) bore their testimonies to us and we had a nice chat with them before heading off to meet up with Rivers and Monica.
A view of the temple from on top of the Church Headquarters.
Jon was able to capture a pretty kick-A zoomed picture of the inscription on the front of the Salt Lake Temple.
Jon and I in front of the St. George Temple.
Drew in front of the St. George Temple. It was nice for him to see family and go on vacation with us before he leaves on his mission. We were able to head over to Christenson's the day before we left and dropped a good 900 or so bones and obtained almost everything he needs for his mission. Good thing we picked up some luggage from Sear's or else we wouldn't have been able to haul our nice piles of crap back to Philly.
Drew and I snuggle up in front of the St. George Temp.
Jon and I were excited to walk around the St. George Temple since after our wedding. It sort of gave me butterflies thinking of our wedding day and the glow we had on our faces from making one of the most monumental decision in our lives. I will never forget the look we gave each other across the altar... I could tell we loved each other enough to stick with it til we're sporting some sweet diapers and argue over who has to take out the bed pan (as opposed to the trash).

The Salt Lake City Hall building?? Not sure but it looked pretty cool.

The old Tabernacle building on Temple Square.
