So... In light of this week being National Pet Peeve Week, I thought I would write
some down that I think of... often. Enjoy!
Kids who tease dogs through a fence
Couples who sit on the same side of the booth when there is no one on the other side (Which is
why Jon and I always sit on each side of the table whenever we go out.)
Parents who bring their young kids to R rated films… Especially Infants. Jon and I have witnessed
someone bringing an infant to the movies…. Why?
People who blame anything and anyone but themselves for their failures
People who sit next to you on public transportation even when there are clearly other seats available
Noisy eaters… (Sorry Garrett, this sort of concerns you). Smacking isn’t fun to listen to.
Going through the drive thru, order your food, and then having to go back when they screw up your order (Taco
Bell in East Norriton, I’m talking to you!!)
Whenever anyone says "That’s mine’s” or “Bag of shrimps”
Finding a shoe and not finding its mate that is right next to it
People who are mean to animals!! – People that are mean to animals deserve bad karma!
People that snoop when they really shouldn’t… unfortunately I see a lot of grown-ups that are guilty of this!
People who read the paper while driving.
People who call you and when you answer, put you on hold... You called me...
Whenever Dixie-Doodle takes Ramen packets, bread, food and hides them strategically throughout our house.
Whenever I try and get myself into school and something has to get in the way of making that happen!!
Cussing in front of toddlers and kids… keep things G-Rated for kids.
People who chat online (instant messaging) while I’m on the phone when them… it’s retarded.
When drivers who double park their cars in the middle of the street and think that having their blinkers on
makes it, “okay”… it’s not okay and for some reason this only occurs in the Philly area… It’s SO weird!
When you genuinely ask someone what's wrong (when there obviously is something wrong) and they respond
half-heartedly, "hmmm? oh nothing..."
Not washing hands after using the bathroom… Yes, people notice, even if they’re still in their stalls.
When your spouse leaves beard hair all over the sink. (Sorry honey, it’s a pet peeve)
Dining with a picky eater (they can never order off the menu without customizing every aspect of the meal)
When ice cream drips out of the bottom of the sugar cone
Dirty keyboards/food in keyboards
When people don't send thank you notes or just say thank you.
When somebody tosses something toward a garbage can, miss the can, and leave it on the ground after they miss!
Whenever I walk in flip flops and I can hear let alone others can hear my flipping and flopping down the hall
Someone standing over my shoulder and reading my computer screen
People who don't cover their mouth while sneezing or coughing.
Dirty dishes in the sink… piled on both side of the sink and counter! I really truly do hate it!
People who habitually need favors aka people who refuse to be more self reliant
How opening any cheap electronic item these days requires cutting up your finger with cheap impossible to open
plastic molding covering.
When you're eating candy and someone asks if they can have a red or pink one… their my favorite!
When you bite into a jelly bean and it's a different flavor than what you thought it was.
Having to go to a UPS / FEDEX/USPS office to pickup a package.
Uncomfortable chairs folding chairs… especially at church.
Chasing after a ping pong ball.
Jerks who take up 2 parking spaces with their BMW’s… It’s true, the majority of Beamer drivers are jerks on the
road.
When something I've been into for a long time becomes popular and gets main streamed.
People who overuse quotes from movies or TV… That goes to the Napoleon Dynamite/Princess Bride crowd.
People who give their kids weird names/spell the names too creatively… It happens more out west than the east coast.
People that don't list prices on websites, stores, and infomercials, or menus.
The creepers (The Philly Creepers) at red lights. You know, those people that start inching forward in their cars
slowly until the light turns green.
People who clear their throats too much.
When people leave the cap off the toothpaste for days and days
People who invite you out somewhere then cancel last minute
Women who wear WAY too much perfume.
Relying on someone else to take a pictures since we’re always a crowd of two
People who don't know the difference between its/it’s and they’re /their/there.
When you can't tell if someone is male or female… Sorry Pats out there, it's not fun to figure out which team you're playin' for.
Sick people who cough near/on you.
People putting their feet out of car windows or on the dash board
Greeting cards that throw sparkles, sequins or confetti on the hapless recipient (I try not to send these)
Paying a LOT to get your car fixed, only to get it fixed again for more money and within two weeks
When you find a really cute piece of clothing on the rack and they have like twenty in size XS, two in size 3X,
and not a single one in your size.
People who throw cigarette butts at the beach in the sand
Stepping on glass at the beach in the sand
People who write/say "We’ll keep in touch!" but you never hear from them ever again
Unexpected company when you’re house is a mess
When someone with a full cart of groceries gets into the 10 items or less line.
Ignorant/racist remarks that are made in front of me
Trying to drive to work and not being able see out the windshield cause the dew/ice is in your way
Not knowing if you've taken two pictures with a camera or there are just two left
When you adjust the volume of the TV and the volume display blocks the subtitles during an important dialogue.
People who think that they are the only one with correct background for understanding an issue
Being the first one at any party
The naming of celebrity couples (Bennifer, TomKat, etc.)
Movie sequels that are unnecessary... such as: Teen Wolf Too, Legally Blonde 2, and Arthur 2: On the Rocks.
When you have an itch on the bottom of your foot and you can't scratch it because you have shoes/socks on
When someone leaves their phone number at the end of a long message and they say it so fast you can't understand it and
have to listen multiple times to figure it out.
People who don't dress their age. It's not flattering for a 40 something woman to wear a tube top as a skirt and see through heels... def sending the WRONG message. Sorry honey, it's not workin' for you.
Suburban kids who think they are “street”
People having obviously PRIVATE conversations on their cell phone in public places.
People who give out WAY too much information
People who put salt on everything without tasting it first.
No toilet paper or paper towels in public bathrooms or being stuck with the immovable toilet paper roll and only getting shreds of tiny pieces to "work" with. Ugh... not fun.
When somebody turns off the lights when you are still in the room.
People who will write something borderline hateful, but then follow it up with a smiley face or a lol
Girls who wear way too much make up aka Cake Face
People who always have to have the last word.
People who no matter what relate to something you have done and try to "one up" you- I mean, what are you trying to prove??
Mumbling, then annoyedly saying "Forget it!" when people don't hear you.
Drivers who signal after they make a lane change.
People who blow their horn at you the nano-second the light changes to green.
When the garbage man leaves my garbage can in the middle of the street while I'm not home
Body Odor-- it's never pleasant
When you first meet someone and can't remember the person's name by the end of the conversation.
When people are using armrests on both sides of you.
People who buy animals, only to get rid of them a week later because it was harder to take care of them than they thought.
People who mumble, which has been the cause of many fights between Drew and myself
Hearing someone sing out of tune... It really does hurt my ears
People who are always late for everthing. I used to be this person until I was on the other end, waiting for someone else and it's not fun.
When there are no hot dog buns left and you have to eat your hot dog on a folded piece of bread.
People who honk in front of a house instead of getting out of the car and ringing the doorbell... You need to have manners and go to the door... sorry guys but it doesn't give you brownie points.
When you have to walk out of the shower naked because you forgot to bring a towel with you.
Guys who wear wife beaters (and nothing else for a shirt) in public.
Clipping toenails in bed- yeah it's pretty gross
People who leave farts/poofers/air bombs in elevators that I subsequently enter. Then the next person thinks it's me.
Overuse of the word "Like"
When you are hanging out with someone and they make plans to do something else right in front of you.
Telemarketers... I really strongly dislike telemarketers... Especially ones that make my life at work much harder than it is. That goes to you, Gobi from USComp who wants me to purchase office cleaner!!
People who are clearly unhappy and yet pretend like everything is just fine.
When people call me but are talking to someone else when I answer and I have to wait till they stop talking.
Bad/halitosis breath.
People who refuse to expand their musical horizons.
People who complain out loud while waiting in a long line at the store.
People who make a horrible remark about you within hearing distance.
Whenever someone steals your identity... There is a special place in hell for you!
Shopping carts with a broken wheel.
People who refuse to work for a living when they can clearly be more self reliant
People who love to point out how wrong everyone else is while they are a walking train wreck
Being put on the speakerphone without warning
Adware, spyware, popups, viruses and other things that download themselves and install automatically
Stores/companies that charge extra if you pay by credit card.
People who aren't open to learning anything new because they know it all.
Men who talk down to women- it happens a lot more often than you think
People who brag about how trashed they got the night before.
Co-workers that try to sell stuff to you at work.
People who say I can't, without even trying.
People who leave their pets in their hot cars in the summer.
Restaurants that put too much ice in your drink.
People who double park.
Junk mail.
People who talk on their cell phone at the movies.
People that do not flush the toilet in public restrooms.
I hate people who have no idea what "personal space" is.
shorts on guys that are too short.
Gossip. You think it stop after high school... well it doesn't.
When shirts shrink in the dryer.
People who are always negative. hahaha... as I write this "negative" list.
Roads that make cars bottom out causing you to use 800 dollars from savings that was meant for school... poo on you, roads!
Offers that always have a "catch" to it.
How commercialized the holidays are.
Hypocrites (yeah, you know who your are)
People who assume that there is nothing you can relate to them about since their life is always more difficult
and intense than yours.
People who steals your ideas and sign your work with their names... it's happened and it's not fun.
Whenever it's rainy and dark on PA roads and you cannot see the road lines since they are clearly NOT reflective paint.
I think I have made a pretty good list so far.
